{....the question that is...what color do you think i should paint our front door? i have been pondering this question for some time....and with spring right at our doorsteps...i just can't make up my mind. any suggestions?? i'm totally open...no pun intended...}

hmmm...what about a pale yellow or orange (if your feeling adventurous)!
...i like the lightness of how the door looks now...which is just the natural wood tone with nothing added...but i'm hung up on if i should keep it light...or go dark...hm....
pale pink would look so cute. but ... i guess this is ben's house, too. maybe your matching plum.tree.studio cottage in the back can have a pink door. :) ha
okay, my REAL suggestion is... stain it. it IS beautiful as wood. even like almost a black stain or a dark walnut?
my other suggestion is a PLUM color. but you're not a purple person if i remember...

I like the stain idea, too...walnut or mahogany?
I have to admit ... Black came to mind first! But I wouldn't paint it, I would stain it to let the natural grain of the wood come through.
