*basket o'fabric*

{for the past two months, i have been putting fabrics that i don't use anymore into this basket. the other day i realized it was getting quite full. i've been trying to think of what to do with this basket...there are fabrics in there that i have never touched...not sure why...i'm the one who bought them...but i guess i just never found a project for them. i'd like to give the fabrics to people who will use them...got any ideas? maybe i should bundle them into a couple groups and sell them? have a giveaway? what's your thoughts? would anyone really be interested?}

...it looks like a fantastic pile of fabric....lovin that orange one on top:)

I think bundles of coordinating colors either to sell or giveaway is a great idea! xo

i like the idea of selling bundles or a giveaway! i've often seen people set up "destash" shops on etsy ... or you can hold a little tag sale on your blog. we could leave a comment if we want it you can e-mail us invoices!

i've heard of various sewing charities who are in need of fabric for different projects they do ... make clothes / toys / dolls for children in hospitals, orphanages, etc. growing up, my church participated in a doll project where everyone bought a [naked] plastic doll & sewed outfits, then they were all collected & distributed to little girls in need. and my grandma used to destash her old craft supplies at nursing homes, which i thought was such a sweet idea.

maybe ... you could do a giveaway for some of it & the winner would have the BEST idea to do with the fabric up for grabs! :)

i'm sure there are lots of us who would love your "extras". i think bundling them by color is a good idea...maybe sell some & give some away?
