*a stroll in Homewood*

{this past friday, we drove to Birmingham, AL for a special rehearsal dinner. it was for a sweet couple we know, justin and jennifer (got a story behind this link...more on that later..). we've known justin for a long time, he's my good friend, julie's "little" brother. even though we could not be apart of their wedding on saturday, we really wanted to show our support by going to the rehersal dinner. the event was located in the Homewood area of Birmingham...a cute...cute area! we stayed at a pretty modern hotel called aloft...which was right by the dinner (i'll have pictures on the hotel later). we had about an hour before the rehersal dinner was to start...so we decided to take a walk around the downtown area. we didn't realize that the businesses closed at 5:00 p.m. so we ended up doing a lot of window shopping.....}

{as you can see...Downtown Homewood has some really adorable shops...there were so many that i wished we could have gone into...i guess we'll have to go back some day soon. maybe a little get away before baby comes!}

I LOVE Homewood! My husband is from Birmingham and I just honestly have a love for this city - Doug also proposed there. Birmingham is so Southern and Homewood just has a lot of its charm rolled up in it. Can't wait to see your pictures. Glad ya'll got to enjoy some special time with your friends.

Your pictures of Homewood bring back such fun memories of living there! Although I love Atlanta, Homewood is such an awesome place to live, work, and play! Glad you had fun!
