{as i was reorganizing my closets the other day...i came across a set of four kelly green place mats that i had gotten on sale at anthropologie a while back...i love the little "ball" detail at the ends but i don't remember why i put these away...oh well...a new project...}
{i think i'm going to do something new...something i haven't tried yet...i think i'm going to try cross-stitching a design on these place mats...yeah...}
{so i started thinking of what to do....i thought about doing a big fun letter in the right hand corner...but then i found andwabisabi on etsy and noticed her patterns for sale....so maybe i'll do this tree instead...or...this elegant teapot...how fun is this?? i'm going to try something new!}

oh yes - those are just screaming to get embroidered! :) so neat! i've also see on martha stewart where they dressed up some cocktail napkins with little colored buttons & doing some easy embroidery to finish them off. little red buttons for cherries, little green ones to make peas, etc.! i sketched out the ideas on scrap paper for "some day". :) ha!
