*butterflies*

{do you remember this post?}

{well i finished the butterfly wreath for the Decatur Holiday Marketplace this weekend...just in the nick of time!}

{i really wish i had more time to really think about what i wanted to do and find the perfect materials for it...but i ended up using three different types of scrapbook paper from Michael's as well as two shades of paint. i used mod podge to glue the paper onto the cutouts and the wreath backing. b helped me paint the butterflies and then he cut out all the shapes. we glued the butterflies onto the wreath back using wood glue and stand offs. there were parts that i noticed could have used some touch ups...but there was no time left...we had to go. so the wreath was hung in a room at the school along with maybe 50 other wreaths. i was happy to see that there were two bids put on the wreath...by mid saturday...one lucky person got to take this wreath home! it felt good because all the proceeds ended up going to the elementary school who hosted the holiday marketplace!}
