{so i have been working on a new boy applique...but i've come to a hump. i'm not feeling that my new pirate ship applique is complete...i searched the high seas for fun pirate inspired buttons & patches to add...but i found nothing that wasn't too cheesy...so added an "X" patch to the front sail...but i'm not sure about it...what are your thoughts? keep it or throw it over board?}
{as i was photographing the shirt...i had a scrap piece of ric rac and wondered...should i add this at the bottom of the ship to simulate waves? what do you think? water or no water? i mean after all...how does a pirate ship sail without water?}

yes, a boat needs water! what about buttons on the boat for lookouts? just a thought.
i LOVE the ric-rac. would it go all the way under the boat? that is a GREAT detail to have had as an afterthought! :)
for the X, i think i'd like it better if there was an X with equal widths of the \ & / <-- does that make sense? i think it'd look more like cross bones if it was equal... i'm SURE it's slim pickin's, but thought i'd just throw it out there! :)

i'm a little late on the comment....but i LOVE this shirt. Elliott is really into pirates right now (and so are a lot of little boys i know).I like the 'x' and the ric rac for waves!
