*difference of a year...*

{last year we planted these three little hydrangeas under the guest bedroom....i had envisioned these hydrangeas in a couple years (of course)...growing nice and round and having big beautiful bushels on them..the perfect view for our guests to have out their window. the one closest to us was pretty pitiful huh...well we were hoping that it would survive the summer and come back...
oh notice there isn't any grass on the ground...}

{well here they are...one year later...bigger...notice the closest one to us survived...yay! a couple more years and they will be the size i had envisioned....oh and notice...still no grass. boo.
 it's soooo very hard to grow down here! picky picky...}

{one of the blooms...ah...beautiful.}

Oh how I LOVE blue hydrangeas!!! We lived in Louisiana for a few years and had huge ones at our home. They don't grow well up here. You all can grow the best plants down there. We got you on grass though ;)

I like how each dog made it into a picture by the way.

so fun to see they have grown!!!!!! i need to do an update on the holly we planted last summer! they have doubled / tripled their size! yay! our hydrangeas don't have their blooms yet ... can NOT wait. and i just planted some red peonies on monday ... not sure WHEN [if? :)] i'll see any signs of life AT ALL. [they were bulbs ... so they're still beneath the earth] but i'm hoping to have a nice crop of red peonies ... someday. :)
