*door painting frenzy*

{this weekend...not only did we paint the side front door...but we also painted the unfinished front door that's in the living room....before i show you the after pictures...i wanted to show you what we originally started with...you know...so you can get the feel for the whole transformation. this picture above is the original front door...one that we lived with for four years...oh and this picture was taken before we moved in...gross huh?...okay..."shivers"...let's move forward...}

{here is the new door...unfinished...which took me quite a long time to figure out really what i wanted to do with it...until it all clicked this past week...we painted the sides and the back of the door

white to match the trim....}

{what a difference it makes....with the new paint...we now have an idea what we'd like to do for a window covering on this door...the white paint totally transformed the door and the whole room...it now finally works with the surroundings. sigh...}

{we actually did the side door first...which was the easiest...b taped off all the doors so that i

could paint them...}

{after painting it...but before i removed the blue tape and spent the next half hour cleaning the glass...}

{and after...we really can't do anything with the screen doors right now....they actully are nice to have when you want to let some extra sunshine in...wanna see the front door now?}

{here is the after....i am soooo very happy with how it turned out...b and i love the blue....so much that we both agreed the back door now needs this beautiful new blue...that's for another weekend though...
