{this weekend, b and i will run our first ever race together. we signed up (at the last minute) to do the firefly which is a night race that looks like it will be a ton of fun. it's a 5k and i know i have some readers that are runners...but trust me i am not. so i am hoping that i can channel forest gump and not be the last one to cross the finish line. the reason i signed up knowing that i don't particularly like to run...i wanted b and i to experience something we hadn't. i did it on the fly knowing that if i really thought about it, i would probably chicken out. so wish us (uh...i mean me) luck!}

A nighttime 5K sounds really cool! You can do it - and you're right, as a non-runner myself, the only way to do it is sign up for it without thinking too much :)
